Pakistan

Animal rescue in Pakistan is a young but growing movement, led by a small number of organisations that rescue and treat injured street dogs, cats, donkeys and other working animals, run sterilisation and vaccination drives as a humane alternative to culling, and campaign for stronger animal-protection laws. Most depend entirely on public donations and volunteers. Legitimate organisations are usually registered as a trust or society, or as a not-for-profit company with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and some are certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy. Each Pakistani organisation on Real Rescues has been checked against its official website and independent sources before being added.
