Kenya is home to some of the world's best-known wildlife charities as well as long-established domestic animal welfare organisations. Wildlife groups rescue and hand-rear orphaned elephants and rhinos and work against poaching, while societies such as the KSPCA rescue, treat and rehome dogs, cats and working animals and investigate cruelty cases. Most rely on donations, fostering and volunteers, and many international supporters give through partner charities registered in the UK or USA. Each Kenyan organisation listed on Real Rescues has been checked against its official website and independent sources before being added.
